Hey guys,

Maybe you dont know this, but I know how to make SWAT4 maps. This month I was working with my ex-clan friend pablo and we made three maps together for now.

One of the maps has a new thing, which other SWAT4 maps don't have - climable ladders. Although they are still being worked on, they are doing good job. Apart from ladders, there are elevators and working pickup weapons!

PS: Maps aren't playable in COOP or single player mode, so you must host a LAN server in order to play. All 3 maps support BS mode, 1 of the maps support BS, VIP and RD.

Pool day reminds me that custom map from CS, SWAT4 will probably make it work better.

STC is really nice, I like the fact that you can use the ladders to climb, BUT I don't like that you can use it to walk on stuff you aren't supposed to walk on, kinda like glitching, maybe put some invisible walls there.
Overall this maps look really great, also great idea on those resupply areas with the weapons Butt Rock

Also, anyone else has some problems with his mouse? there are many custom maps (including mine when I tried making one) that when you move the mouse vertically or horizontally makes it move to unwanted directions.

How much time did it take you guys to make STC?

PoolDay map is made entirely ba pablo, so idk maybe he got inspiration from CS maps :D

yea, ladders can be used in negative ways :S that is hard to fix. blocking volumes can be used, but it can have negative effects

well i really didnt count. i can say about 1 month in total. the reason why it took so long is because of many AFK and stuff.

STC map came from my first made map, which was made when i was learning to make maps. originally, there were only those 2 buildings, without anything inside, also no catwalks, no ladders, no underground passage. it was an empty map. so as time passed i filled it more and more and with pablo's help we added ladders and also elevators. then the roof option was available. the RD has taken most of time, because none of us knew how to make it. it turned out it was a lot easier than we imagined Razz

as for VIP mode, well it was very easy to add Smile

COOP.. well to make that game mode available, you should fix all map 'errors' (they can be invalid AI paths, stackup points and similar). it takes a lot of time, so we didnt even think of adding it. also , rarely people play COOP, so we thought it wouldnt be bad if we skipped it.

I don't know if this effects when you play it on a server but when you play it using the command open 'map name'
you'll notice the mouse moves weird when you move it from only right to left (without up and down[horizontally]) or only up and down (without right and left [vertically])
I noticed this on most custom maps, some have this, some don't (I don't know what makes it happen or how to remove it)

You can always put invisible walls in certain areas that will block you when you try to go there.
Just like in foodwall when you try to jump off the roof, something blocks you.
