Rumour has it that we may have Pep Guardiola as our new manager, since he left Barcelona

1) Pep Guardiola said he wont manage any other team for a while he is taking a break. Why would he leave barca? No sense.

2) The reason why barca is so good is cuz the 5 forward players do not have a specific role in the game. They do what they want, thats the order from Guardiola.

3) This fact (2) can't happen in chelsea, actually cant happen in any other team.

4) Guardiola does not fit in Chelsea. Mourihnio did, much better than he fits in Real.

To over your first point, I want to assure you that Roman Abramovich is very good friends with Pep. Although Pep is "resting" he is considering the Chelsea job for the future. Although I believe De Matteo deserves it. He's been fantastic.

2) Barcelona play very tactical, which means the attacking players do in fact have a position, but it can constantly change as they are fit to play anywhere. They primarily play in a 4-3-3 formation, regularly playing quick passing exchanges with teammates before getting into the penalty area and releasing a shot. Messi, for example, plays on the right of the central striker but being left-footed he loves to cut inside before shooting or passing. While it is the central striker's job to score goals.

However, they also play defensively. The three midfielders perform different defensive and offensive roles. There is a defensive midfielder whose job it is to break up opposition attacks before releasing the ball to teammates.

When Andre Villas Boas was in charge, Chelsea also played the 4-4-3 formation. Muriniho used it too when he was in charge.

Jose Bosingwa or Branislav Ivanovic usually occupy the right-back slot. The pair have entirely different strengths. In the center, John Terry is partnered by either David Luiz or Alex. Luiz is one of the best attacking central defenders in the world.

In attack, Juan Mata can play either left or right of the central striker. If Florent Malouda is selected, Mata is more likely to feature on the right, with left being Malouda's position.
Drogba is the old fashioned center forward who leads the line and holds up the ball, while Torres prefers to use his pace and run on to through balls. [Salomon Kalou is another player who regularly features out wide in a front three]

So in conclusion, they're tactics are very similar. However, depending on the situation of the game the formations adapt.

Many teams try to use barca style but only barca does it that good.

Game played by Barcelona is like magic, fluid, pure, awesome, cant be copied, its...amazing
