Horror games

Thought someone here may love survival horror games and can share their experiense + if u know some good ones - post them here

If anyone didnt tryed those games yet or didnt enjoy them, remember - main thing is immersing, of course u will not be scared if u gonna play it and say "oh hey, its just a bunch of pixels, nothing is scary here, its just a game, e.t.c...", also dont forget this steps to fully enjoy it:
1. Play only in headphones
2. Play only when its dark (at night + room with no lights at all = best)
3. Better if home alone
...also better not being drunk xD

Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Simply best survival horror... Only thing u can do against monsters is - run the f**k out of there...

Dead Space
Another popular, everyone knows it

Cry Of Fear FTP Download
Mod for Half-Life, solid horror with oldish graphics but great atmosphere...

Hide FTP Download
Super tiny game, where goal is to find notes on map while avoid of being found... U cant see much details coz of extreamly low graphics, but this is what makes u immerse into it so well and use imagination more...

Slender FTP Download
Similar to "Hide" but with better graphics... Didnt played it much, hitted the ESC button right after seeing first creature xD Oh yea, main advantage of this game to other horrors - u cant pause it to get calm and stop crying... u can either press ESC to instantly quit or stop being pussy and keep playing, which is hard

SCP-087 FTP Download
Game where i made less steps then in any other horror, about only 10 forward >< Heard the goal is only going down the stairs and also heard its pretty scary, so, cant force myself to play it ...but i make few more steps day by day xD

Ghoul's Forest 3 FTP
More spooky than scary... Mod for Doom 2, so graphics isnt good, but still worth playing...

Cryostasis
Everybody says its good too... I found it a bit borring at begining, so stoped playing before any scary parts...

Lone Survivor
2D game... But somehow have this frightening atmosphere and spooky moments + great story, very recommend this 1...

When I saw some necro-morth I was just like this:

Imho game game not so scary as other, but very adrenaline and almost always need to use brain to survive.

lots of jumpscares if u like that kind of things

Yep FEAR is terrifying at first... but later u begin to think like "hey i have this shotgun here and tons of ammo, why am i scared?" and "survival" term starts to refer more to those poor bad guys on ur way... but, yea, jumpscares r good there

True, Skan, Dead Space is scary for ones and completely not for others... Im very impressionable so it is for me ...did u played at night in darkness with headphones? It have major impact on it...
