[SWAT4] MYT vs KL

Hi guys!

Are you interested in a friendly match in v1.1 this weekend? (or maybe next weekend, but I wont be there :\ )

Rules are basic: no cheat; no glitch; no bug; no double-switch. All rest are allowed.

Players: 5 vs 5 or more

Match: 8 Rounds in 2 maps - 15 minutes each one.

Mode: VIP Escort v1.1

Server: MYT or KL - your choice

Hour: 19:00 UTC

I guess we will have to wait until Event Organizers decide about the war.

I didn't have the honour to play with you, I was on MYT server for a couple of times, maybe you saw me, maybe not Smile

I don't have 1.1 version installed currently since in my opinion it is dead, but it isn't a problem for me to install it. Butt Rock

It's also honour to me play a match with you and KL m8ys :D I appreciate so much your clan.

It's a bit unofficial match to MYT since I had to posted it on forums a week prior, and have contactect our Match Manager (Braveheart) in time...

Well, next weekend is my BDay Butt Rock

, so I can't play, but we could organize it better.

Since I see many KL member active also in 1.1, I asked for this version, but I'm also checking our members with 1.0 available to match. I think this wont be a problem...

Just passed thru my head now that I had posted in S4N about install both version in same content folder, so ppl could download just few files to add the other version.

I gonna check that right now... maybe things become easier ;D

Ok, I made a package which allows v1.1 runs also v1.0 with less than 10MB (later I made the v1.1 to v1.0, without this hurry).
I'm open a thread about the match and I'll introduce this 'pacth' to our members. In this case, KL would host the match (yep, I just realized that we don't have v1.0 servers lol).

I'll check the availability of our member to this sat/sun and also next sat/sun; maybe if we have members enough in differents days, we can play also a re-match (c'mon! Its just a FUN WAR... all that we need is players ;D).

Hi guys!

I had no time to make a 'expasion' to allow v1.0 runs also v1.1, but since last week an little 'expasion' wich allow v1.1 connect in v1.0 servers are available to download in MYT Server on FUN WAR - |MYT| vs {KL} thread, so we are ready to play in both versions.

But since KL's Event Organizers did not manifested until now, and took the responsability over this match organization, unluckily I have to dispense our enlisted war staff and communicate the revocation of this match request.

Maybe next time.

Sorry about that. Shame that there aren't many active members these days. I guess that would be main reason the war didn't take place. Once there are enough, I am sure that we will arrange something Wink

By the way I am interested in that patch you mentioned. Can you please explain me how it works and give me links because I couldn't find it on MYT website. Thanks in advance.

About the post editing, it is allowed ofcourse, but I think there is a time limit by which you can change your message. Like 5 or 10 minutes, not sure...

About the patch, I made it just to this war; in order make MYT members who have only v1.1 installed could join.

When I get sometime, I'll finish the pacth to v1.0 connect in v1.1 servers, and as Mig said, must be published in S4N.

Well, you can't see some areas of our forum... so here my post ^^

Just extract into your game's "\content\" folder; then you'll have "\content\system\swat4.exe" to v1.1 and "\content\system_1.0\swat4.exe" to v1.0.

Create a shortcut in somewhere and done.

UPDATE:

Mazso m8y advised me about version writen in game stills "1.1".

That was a little mistake... I forgot to keep the "Version.ini" in System_1.0 folder.

But since we don't use GameSpy Server List anymore, it has no futher effect in game; so just ignore it

Me and Mazso tested in {KL} Server, and he saw how I'm 1.0 PRO

Note that the "Version.ini" file is still missing. I'll fix it maybe tomorrow. Anyway there are no effect in game (dunno for who uses Markmods Server Browsing... I didn't installed it yet).

It work like TSS expansion... Its just another folder into game's Content folder with the v1.0 files.
All other files are shared by both version; including configurations files (.ini) what hold your settings.

Awesome! I had 1.1 installed before, but had some troubles with it, so had to remove. Now when I try to install it, it gives me some kind of language error while patching. I hope this will work Smile
